Feel the Spirits

These old steps felt many footsteps over years past...and voices and laughter filled the porch and chairs too. It is easy to feel the spirits that still linger and drift about.

The 'Mary D. Hume' laying at rest on the Rogue River near Gold Beach, Oregon. Built in 1881 at Gold Beach, she has been in her final resting place since 1978. She had a varied and exciting career in Artic whaing, towing, and halibut fishing.
